My IP with Aussie Broadband

Well, it was today that I learnt about my ISP Aussie Broadband offering this statement “By default, we use dynamic IP addresses and CGNAT (Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation) on internet services we provide.” It turns out they all do and normally that’s a great idea. Although it smacked me right out of my hosting CPanel and WordPress dashboard. It also provided months of random frustration in my day to day fiddling about.

So the solution is to have a static IP and that has now fixed the issues, although after selecting this service I lost all internet for nearly 2 hours. Sadly I’m totally lost without it.
